I sometimes wonder what it is that's so attractive about two guys kissing and loving each other. It's only a few months back that I had never read one single M/M romance in my entire life. And now it's one of my favorite genres. And I know now (since I'm getting to learn more and more about all the romance blogs that are out there) that I'm not the only woman who gets hot when sexy men are making out and falling in love.
This week I've read The Assignment by Evangeline Anderson which was a really HAWT M/M story. If I remember correct, my first M/M story ever was by the same author: Str8ght Boys. Another one of my favorite M/M stories is A Helping Hand by Shayla Kersten. These books happen to have in common that the protags are (or one of them is) straight and new to gay love. And they are falling in love/lust with their best friend.
I'm not sure what's so appealing about that. I mean, I wouldn't like to see my hubby with another guy (no matter how hot or sexy). Nothing hot about that! But ever since seeing the movie Brokeback Mountain the whole idea of two men together has my interest and it seems to turn on woman around the world, not only me. Maybe it's just a matter of two hotties is twice the pleasure?
I do know that I like the beautiful pictures of gay couples that are all over the internet, and therefore enjoy to show them on my Happy Gay Friday's posts. Here's another one, to double the pleasure of today's HG Friday :)

I've only read m/m by LB Gregg so far, but I do like the genre. And yes, something about two guys kissing is.....very attractive.
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, LB Gregg is a new name for me. I looked his/her website up and found some great bookdescriptions and excerpts there. So, thanks for the tip. I put the first of the Smithfield series on my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteI find the ksissing bit really hot... it sometiem the best bit of the whole hooking up...

I totally agree with you, E.H. Same goes for a M/F hooking up btw. For me a romance story can be ruined if the kissing scenes are lacking or missing...
