This weeks HGF illustration is a video compilation of one of my favorite gay You Tube channels: JJ Prods. This compilation is from three Eating Out movies (3, 4 & 5), which I’ve never seen and which don’t seem to get very high ratings at IMdB… but who cares: there are hot guys kissing hot guys in it. *g*
So, tomorrow is the UK Meet!
Lis already arrived at Brighton, where the Meet is held. She’s going to tweet about meeting all her favorite m/m authors I bet, so I’m going to follow her tweets to live vicariously through her. :)
And next Wednesday Lis will do a guest post about her adventures here at the blog, so stay tuned!
Have you already heard about the ‘It’s All About the Bling’ Ornaments line for Christmas? I’m not at all in the Christmas decoration mood yet, but Sharon sent me this link this week and I immediately started jonesing for Christmas, with these December Diamonds! The one in the picture to the right is called ‘Hot Boy Bottom Bo Merman Drinking a Martini’. Others are ‘Salty the Shirtless Sailor with Tattoo on his Arm’, ‘Stud the Cowboy Merman’ and ‘Blaze Bare Chested Fireman Merman’. I want them all! :D
Okay, back to the books. This week I learned of two upcoming releases that made me extremely excited! So, that’s why I can’t wait until my monthly ‘Anticipated Releases’ post, but have to mention them now!
The first one is To Catch a Fox by Geoffrey Knight & Ethan Day, two authors I’ve met at GayRomLit last year and who are not only very kind and friendly men, but also have a wicked sense of humor in a charming way. It’s their first joint book as far as I know, and I hope to find lots of their combined humor and writing skills in To Catch a Fox. The blurb sure does sound promising.
I couldn’t find where (and when) this book would be published so I asked Ethan Day on Twitter. Here’s his answer:
And about the 'when' he tweeted:
Woohoo! \o/
After a bit of searching I found this link to Dare Empire where I found this blurb:
Sex. Murder. Blackmail. Revenge. Life in the Big Easy can be a real bitch.
Meet Jon Fox, a sexy New Orleans private detective with more family secrets than even he knows about. But his latest case is about to bring more to the swampy surface than Fox himself could ever have guessed—
A polite old lady with a plot to murder a stranger;
A mother whose secret sent her insane;
An uncle with complete control over the family empire;
A father whose suicide might once again tear his family apart;
And a hot, handsome, clueless blond with a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Yes, meet Jon Fox. A New Orleans private detective whose complicated life...just got a little more complex.
The other release I found out about this week and that I’m super excited about is Tigerland by Sean Kennedy! It’s the sequel to Tigers and Devils, one of my all time favorite m/m romance novels (read my review here>>). Btw I adore this cover!
I’d never counted on a sequel, so this is such a treat! I can’t wait to revisit Simon and Declan again. Here’s the blurb:
After an eventful and sometimes uncomfortably public courtship, Simon Murray and Declan Tyler settled into a comfortable life together. Now retired from the AFL, Declan works as a football commentator; Simon develops programs with queer content for a community television station.
Despite their public professional lives, Simon and Declan manage to keep their private life out of the spotlight. Their major concerns revolve around supporting their friends through infertility and relationship problems—until Greg Heyward, Declan’s ex-partner, outs himself in a transparent bid for attention.
Though Simon and Declan are furious with Greg and his media antics, they can’t agree on what to do about it. Declan insists they should maintain a dignified silence, but both he and Simon keep getting drawn into Heyward’s games. Simon and Declan will once again have to ride out the media storm before they can return their attention to what really matters: each other.
Tigerland will be coming out at Dreamspinner Press in October.
Happy Gay Friday everyone!

I can't remember where I was (San Francisco maybe?) when I saw some of those gay mermen ornaments actually on display. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you see that a second edition of Tigers & Devils was released, apparently with a tweaked ending?
And did you buy one of the mermen? :)
DeleteI knew about the second edition, but I haven't seen the tweaked ending (yet). I'm curious what's changed about the ending though. Seemed already perfect to me...
I bought the Mardi Gras one for my blog partner at I Smell Sheep (shhh) he looks just looks like a hot guy
ReplyDeleteLOL! That's the harlequin guy, wasn't it? So nice of you to give them as a present! :D I just want to keep them all for myself. *g*
