Sunny Greece |
I wrote this post yesterday because early this morning (very early!) hubs and I left for a vacation in Greece. It’s nice and warm over there and it’s rather cold over here, so a couple of weeks ago we spontaneously decided to go. Our destination will be one of the islands, Lesbos.
Unfortunately this means that I won’t be able to go to the Amsterdam Gay Pride with Lis, Leontine and Blaine this Saturday. I feel really bad about that. :(
But they will take lots of pictures, they promised me and Lis will write a blog post about their entanglements with lots of photos (I hope) and she’ll post it here next week, probably Tuesday. Yay!
Meanwhile, I’m having a bit of pre vacation stress. Oi. It’s just that I feel like I have to do so much before we leave.
I mean, not only at work I want to have finished as much as possible (even things that can wait a few weeks until I return,) but it’s the same at home.
My lists are endless and the things on it vary from emailing every friend I haven’t seen in a while, to waxing my legs and doing my nails, to charging batteries and updating my ereader, to finally ending certain subscriptions, to buying thousand things I think I need…
It’s mind-numbing really.
And let’s not forget packing the suitcases. That always raises new things to do and buy too (I always seem to need another bathing suit or new flip-flops, or …). *big sigh*
I wish I could be a bit more relaxed.
Well, it’s all done now. Everything is packed and we’re almost ready to go.
All there’s left to do is schedule a few blog posts for the time I’ll be in Greece. That is, I hope to do that, but I’m not sure if nothing unexpected happens in between.
Like this morning, when my internet connection suddenly took a vacation.
Or like last night, when something fell on my iPad and the glass front broke. I don’t think I’ve been that upset in a long time, really! I admit, I shed a tear or two.
It’s fixable but it’ll cost and they couldn’t fix it today, so it’ll have to wait until after the vacation. *even bigger sigh*
I have to remind myself that it’s not the end of the world, but last night it certainly felt like it for a short moment, lol.
Anyways, I’m going to Greece!! Have you ever seen more gorgeous men… eh… people than the Greek? I mean, take a look at singer Kostas Martakis here or here or here if you still have doubts. ;)
So, if you don’t hear from me the next couple of weeks, you’ll know what I’m doing!
PS As of the next HGF post I'll get back to the book talk... sorry for the lack of it this time.
Have a Happy Gay Friday!

Hope you have a wonderful vacation!! But how sad about your iPad, esp right before vacation. :(
ReplyDeleteOh yes, getting ready for vacation is always stressful. I'm a list kinda gal, too, and I end up with lots of 'to do' lists before a vacation. I hope you have a great time in Greece, and that you get to see some Kostas-like hotties :) And he's...*sigh*...very very pretty.
ReplyDeleteoh! have fun and pinch some Greek men's tushes for me! ;)
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very tranquil place to be for some much needed r&r!! Enjoy it ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen you tweeted your iPad disaster I was in shock. I can definitely understand the one or two tears. Your precious had a booboo- or is that going a bit far *wink* I hope it can be fixed soon!
You'll no doubt see this when you get back, but...I hope you have a wonderful time! I loved my time in Greece!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for dropping by! Sorry I forgot to respond to your comments while I was in Greece. My excuse is that I was lazy. ;)
