Dean Day – 10 Things I Love about Dean

Who doesn’t know who Dean is *I bet most of you do know though* check out the TV show Supernatural! One of the demon hunting Winchester brothers is Dean, played by the cute and wonderful actor Jensen Ackles. His younger brother is Sam, who’s also cute in a different way. I just think he pouts a bit too much ;). Sorry Sammy-girls!

So, it’s pretty common knowledge that I have a fictional crush on Dean (one that my hubby doesn’t know about FYI and I like it to keep that way *g*. Because I’m not sure if he’ll understand the ‘fictional’ part of this sentence ;)).

What do I like about Dean you ask? Well, you asked for it so here it goes:

First of all, look at him! Isn’t it obvious what I like about him?! He has gorgeous green eyes, kissable full lips, a damn-cute hairdo and a perfect bod!

He’s self-assured, walks with a confident stance, is fearless and bold and he has that brooding bad boy thing going on. Yum! (I must add that Jensen Ackles is really a fabulous actor to play Dean’s part so freakin’ awesome).

Despite his toughness, he has this tiny little heart, especially when it comes to his brother for whom he feels so responsible. Dean’s not afraid to show his emotions every now and then, even if it’s grief or sorrow. My female heart is throbbing for him in those moments and all I wanna do is wrap my arms around his broad shoulders. Like this moment in last week’s episode (5.14 My Bloody Valentine) in the final scene when he asked for help with his eyes lift up to the sky. Really heartbreaking! Jensen Ackles can make me cry when he’s doing a great acting job like that.

  4 He enjoys life with all its seductions, like fast food, beer, beautiful woman and sex. So, he’s getting to my secret inner hedonist.   5 He’s a sexy kisser!   Or watch the one in my right side bar, titled ‘Dean Winchester loves kissing’.   6 Dean appears to be the typical bad boy but secretly he’s all angelic goodness, where Sammy represents demonic evilness (watch season 3/4 and you know what I mean).   7 He likes to sing and I think that’s sexy. Like in last week’s episode when they were discussing Cupid as a lower kind of angel and Dean asked: “Cupid? I haven't posted any Man Candy this week, so here's some! It's the delicious Dean Winchester aka Jensen Ackles. Then my first February reads:

I've finished reading an ARC that I received from the author: This Side of Heaven by Fallon Blake. It's going to be released at Loose Id on February 9th and before that date I will write my review. But I can tell you now that I really enjoyed this paranormal read. It had angels and demons and Telal (part human, part angel, part demon) in it and one of my favorite M/F book couples so far with the greatest and hottest chemistry.

And after finishing This Side of Heaven I started reading a contemporary M/M novella: Seeing You by Dakota Flint. This one is featuring some hot and hurting cowboys. It's been told in the first person and all I can tell so far is that Dylan and Wade are dealing with some serious grief and guilt. Dylan's brother was Wade's lover and has been killed in an accident a year ago. Dylan couldn't handle his brother's death and his non-platonic feelings for Wade and left. But now he's back at Wade's ranch after a cry for help from his sister because Wade has been neglecting himself and the ranch. Well, I know where I'll be tonight - on a ranch with two hot cowboys!

Happy Gay Friday, What I’m Reading & Dean Day

It’s almost the end of a working day and the beginning of the weekend! Yay! So, it’s time for a M/M cookie.
I’ve been away for two days the past week for my work, which was tiring (sleeping in a hotel bed most of the times is) and I had no internet access and was too busy to blog, mail, twitter or do blogrounds. So, I’m double happy that it’s almost weekend!

I did get some reading done, because I had some travelling by train to do. After finally finishing Hard Too Hold by Stephanie Tyler Thursday I immediately started the second book in the series, Too Hot to Hold, because I already purchased it and I was afraid that If I didn’t start it right away I never would at all. I’ve made a start now so after that I could put it aside for a while and read some M/M smut I was craving for…(that’s how my mind works sometimes ;)) I picked The Broken H by J.L. Langley, which is about two cowboys, stepbrothers, who have the hots for each other. I’m really enjoying it so far!

This afternoon on Twitter me and a few girls were gushing over Supernatural’s Dean and decided to have a Dean Day on V-Day (it’s in writing now girls!) on which we bring a ‘Ten Things I Love About Dean’ tribute to the guy! My other addictions

I haven't read much the past couple of days. I'm still reading Hard Too Hold by Stephanie Tyler (almost finished it) and about to start This Side of Heaven by Fallon Blake. I'm looking forward to that one, which was send to me by the author for a review.
And I'm definitely picking up another M/M book the coming weekend, it's been too long and I'm having symptoms of withdrawal ;)

Meanwhile inbetween my job, birthday visitors and other every day things I've been keeping myself busy with my other addictions: Supernatural's Dean and the gay soap couple Deniz & Roman (DeRo).

I think this video of Supernatural doesn't need any explanation, it just shows the excellence and wit of this TV show. And Dean *sigh*... he's not only hot but funny too!




And then DeRo! I've been watching their story at the YouTube channel of The Eskimo Kiss Project ever since author Kate Davies pimped them out to me ;), tweeting and emailing me, giving me all the inside info I needed to get sucked in! And when you watch this video, you'll probably understand why. It shows some beautiful make up sex in a locker room shower *sigh*



Tomorrow I will be without internet and Thursday most of the day too :(
So, I hope to be back Thursday night!

Today's Man Candy: Dean & Sam

Some of you may know or have guessed it already, I'm a Supernatural fan! I like the storyline, the adventures and I just lurve the two sexy brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester.

I might as well admit that I have a little... alright a huge... crush on Dean! Although Supernatural is not about romance, he has everything I love in a romance hero, in fact that I love in a man period.

He's sexy, confident, caring, tough, dark and brooding but also funny and witty, gorgeous, emotional at times, hot, selfless and he has the most amazing eyes. *sigh*

This morning I stopped by at Ms Moonlights blog and she has this amazing post: All I want for Christmas is Sam and Dean. She found a lot of great and hilarious Youtube vids which you should go check out at her place. The last one is a bit disturbing though, so be warned!

I can't wait for the hiatus to end with the next episode at January 21st!

Supernatural Saturday

It's been a busy week for me IRL, so I haven't been blogging for a few days. But TG now it's Saturday! Time to read books, do some blogging, surf the internet & read about and watch (online) my favorite TV show, Supernatural, before meeting with some friends tonight.

Although I didn’t have much time to blog, I’ve read a few books. I’ve also been thinking about the genres I usually read and why supernatural genres aren’t among them. I’ve occasionally read a vampire story that was part of Harlequin’s Blaze, like from The Love at First Bite series by Kimberly Raye. And recently I’ve bought The Cost of Eternity by Shayla Kersten, just because I like her way of writing, and it happened to be about a vampire. I also read one or two paranormal Blaze stories and one sci-fi novel by Zannie Adams, but that’s about it. Since I love the TV show, I’m curious if the supernatural genre could be something for me. So, I’m wondering which supernatural romances are recommended to give this a try, considering I’m rather a rookie at this?

Than about the TV show: I liked episode 5.09 (The Real Ghostbusters) because of the old-fashioned ghost hunting (which reminded me of the first two seasons). And I could appreciate the ironic and funny way Supernatural fans were being mocked and ridiculed by exaggeration. All those Dean and Sam imitators were hilarious!

The next episode is again about the big Apocalypse storyline; the brothers are tracking down Lucifer, together with Bobby, Ellen and Jo. Could be nice, this reunion. Here’s the promo and two sneak peeks from that epi, 5.10 (Abandon All Hope):

I loved last weeks episode: it was hilarious and it seemed to be a standalone but turned out to be part of the bigger story. I like how the writers know how to combine the funny with the serious stuff...
